Latest news regarding the WWE roster cuts from June 2nd 2021

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com did a Q&A about the WWE roster cuts that took place on June 2nd 2021.

Regarding Aleister Black, Johnson stated that he was told Black’s release “shocked everyone, right down to the creative team, since they had just invested time and money in the vignettes, but at the end of the day, someone high up decided it was time to cut bait.”

Johnson noted the following in response to a question about the most recent roster cuts being able to appear at AEW’s All Out PPV on Sunday, September 5th…

“We are told that all the non-competes land around 9/6-9/10, so that’s a no.”

“Due to Budget cuts the following talent were released today. Braun Strowman, Lana, Buddy Murphy, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, and Aleister Black. – John Laurinaitis”
