Kevin Nash says he knows a WWE star that took a 50% pay cut but is still making “huge money”

On May 2nd 2026, it was reported that The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) mutually agreed to part ways with WWE. It was later reported that on the day of the mass releases, WWE reportedly approached numerous talents and asked them to accept pay cuts in order to remain with the company, with some being given only two days to make a decision.

While speaking on his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash commented on the situation…

“I’ve got enough moles in the business where I know the people that took 50% cuts. I know like one of the guys, and when I found out what the person was making, I just picked myself up off the ground that he was making that much money—and then realized that even at 50%, he was making huge money.”

Nash also gave praise to TKO CEO Ari Emanuel…

“The only person I’ve ever met from TKO is Ari. I mean, he’s the only one that I’ve ever met. He was such a gentleman. He came up, he shook my hand. I’ve never been treated better by anyone in management than the way he treated me.”
