In the main event of AEW Dynamite on October 18th 2022, Jon Moxley defended the world title against “Hangman” Adam Page. The match was stopped early after Page was hit with a lariat and appeared to be knocked out. After Doc Sampson checked on Page, the match was called off and Moxley retained his title.

Several minutes of the announcers talking and upcoming Rampage/Dynamite graphics were shown so Page could be taken out on a stretcher. Once the ring was cleared, Moxley called out MJF. MJF appeared with the casino chip and teased cashing it in but then left the ring. MJF got on the mic and said he wanted Moxley at 100% and was going to get his title match at the 2022 Full Gear PPV. MJF said for the first time in his miserable life, he will earn something.
