John Laurinaitis: “My one love is to help, develop, and groom young talent”

In the spring of 2025, it was announced that former WWE executive John Laurinaitis was dropped as a defendant in the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon. It was noted that Laurinaitis “has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence” in the case.

In February of 2026, it was announced that Laurinaitis will be making an appearance for Big Time Wrestling on March 14th. While speaking to The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, he commented on his return to wrestling…

“March Madness is going to be historic in the sense that it’s actually my first-ever public appearance for a company. And part of the reason I’m doing that is because it’s kind of ironic that the Road Warriors are going to be inducted into the Ohio Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. There’s actually a tribute match to the Road Warriors, so it’s kind of nice that my first appearance is going to be something that honors my brother.”

Laurinaitis later stated the following…

“I think the way Big Time Wrestling is approaching things—I’ve had discussions with Bobby and Dylan—and what they’re looking to do is make it the place to be, so to speak. In other words, there are ideas about bringing in international talent, bringing in more high-profile names.

I’m really looking forward to their future, and I’m hoping I can be part of that in some way—whether it’s behind the scenes or helping them with promoting and things like that. I think the more places there are for talent to work, the better opportunity it is for the business.

I don’t know if everybody realizes this, but I’ve been in the developmental system for WWE for 20 years. My one love is to help, develop, and groom young talent. And I think that’s the strategy for Big Time Wrestling right now—to find younger talent and develop them into the stars of tomorrow.”
