How WWE reportedly feels about JBL making appearances outside of the company
At the end of TNA Wrestling’s 2024 Emergence PPV event, WWE Hall of Famer JBL made his debut with the promotion. JBL was previously part of AAA’s Triplemania event in Mexico City by accompanying Nic Nemeth to the ring and then appeared at a Game Changer wrestling show.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, sources have stated that JBL is still currently under a WWE Legends contract but the company doesn’t have any issues with his outside appearances. As part of the deal, JBL can appear elsewhere as long as he doesn’t violate any WWE intellectual property. JBL has been using his real name “John Layfield” and has also dressed differently from how he does on WWE television.
JBL recently shared a photo of himself in the gym which led to internet speculation about him potentially returning to the ring at some point.
