How AEW stars are said to be reacting to CM Punk’s omission from Collision announcement and brand split rumors

As previously noted, AEW officially confirmed the new weekly Collision show for Saturday nights but there was no mention of CM Punk despite rumors of him being the show’s focal point. Mike Johnson of PWInsiderElite.com noted the following regarding Punk’s omission from the Collision announcement…

“There was a lot of surprise among AEW talents today when CM Punk was not announced for Collision. We are told that as late as last night, Punk was expected by many to be front and center for the Collision reveal.”

In regards to the rumored brand split of AEW, Fightful Select noted the following…

“We’re told that talent are expecting a hard brand split, with the exception of many AEW Champions. We’ve been told that there will be additional exceptions here and there. We have not learned how exactly the split will be determined, if there will be a draft, or how that will work out.”
