Health update on Rey Mysterio after he was pulled from WWE WrestleMania 41 match
Rey Mysterio was pulled from the WWE WrestleMania Saturday 41 PLE after suffering an injury during the April 18th 2025 edition of Smackdown. El Grande Americano ended up defeating Rey Fenix in a singles match at WrestleMania.
In a video posted to Instagram, Mysterio provided a health update…
“Hey Paso. What’s up fam? How you guys doing? Out here in Birmingham, Alabama at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. Getting ready for my surgery. I tore my Adductor at The Smackdown before Wrestlemania. I’m scheduled for surgery today, so I’ll keep you guys posted. Thank you guys very much and I’ll let you know once I get out.” (quote courtesy of PWInsider.com)
While there is no official word on how long Mysterio will be out of action, recovery time ranges from a few weeks to several months depending on the severity of the tear.
