Gunther refers to a former WWE Intercontinental champion as the “new” Hulk Hogan
During an interview with Steve Fall for WrestlingNews.co, Gunther commented on former Intercontinental champions in the aftermath of his remarks towards The Ultimate Warrior on WWE’s The Bump. Gunther said the following about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson…
“I think it’s he’s the new Hulk Hogan, I think, in terms of if you ask random people on the street in some random country, they will say The Rock and connect it with wrestling. And most famous, but I categorize him as a showman as well.”
Gunther also praised Jeff Jarrett…
“I think he’s one of the smartest guys in the sport because we have 2023 and he’s still in a very good position at another company and I think having a career that long and being in all kinds of positions this business has to offer. Yeah, congratulations to that career. You really figured it out.”
