Goldberg reportedly having his next WWE match at Elimination Chamber

As previously noted, Bill Goldberg has one more match on his current WWE contract.

It is being reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com that Goldberg is set to compete in his next and possibly last WWE match at the Elimination Chamber PLE. The current belief is that Goldberg will be challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. Goldberg and Reigns were originally scheduled to face each other at Wrestlemania 36 in 2020 but Reigns pulled out of the event and was replaced by Braun Strowman.

During an interview with SI.com from last month, Goldberg addressed his future and didn’t rule out extending his time WWE…

“As a power wrestler, it’s tough. It’s not easy to do this at my age. But I knew that, and I said the hell with it. For me, the prize is worth it, and that’s to open up opportunities for my son. If I can continue to do what I’m doing and continue to provide opportunities for him, then I’ll consider this a success. I’m focused on what’s next. If they want to come back to me with something, we’ll talk. You never know what the future holds.”

Goldberg also noted in a different interview that he has been needing shoulder surgery.
