Full List of Free Agent Wrestlers Possibly Turned Away by WWE’s Hiring Freeze
It was previously reported that there may have been a “hiring freeze” in place since January when Vince McMahon returned as Board Chairman and further discussed the sale of the WWE. If true, that ice probably became thicker when Endeavor announced their acquisition of the WWE following Wrestlemania 39.
Previously, it was suggested that Jay White and Nick Aldis may have been affected by this “freeze” as WWE sures up its assets in preparation for a sale or transfer of ownership. According to Fightful.com, there may have been other potential free agents that were turned down because of this freeze:
– Nick Aldis (returned to Impact Wrestling)
– Jay White (joined All Elite Wrestling)
– Hikuleo (New Japan)
– Tama Tonga (New Japan)
– Trinity Fatu (formerly Naomi in WWE)
While WWE hasn’t signed any talent recently, William Regal and Bruce Prichard have been reportedly reaching out to talent for their interest in joining WWE.
