Free agent reportedly more likely to be joining AEW despite being offered a WWE contract

Last month, it was reported that WWE was “super high” on former NWA women’s champion Kamille and the company reportedly offered her an NXT contract.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com has provided an update on Kamille’s free agency. Johnson noted that while there was interest from WWE, discussions are not moving forward. Furthermore, Kamille is said to have been in “deep discussions” with AEW. At this point, AEW is seen as a more likely destination for Kamille as it would allow her to pursue acting work that she seemingly wouldn’t be able to do in WWE.

Fightful.com recently reported that Kamille was backstage at AEW Dynamite on January 17th 2024 and had conversations with “several people of influence” at the event.
