Former WWE star Lanny Poffo has passed away at the age of 68

WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan wrote on his Facebook and Twitter accounts that former WWE star “Leaping” Lanny Poffo (also known as The Genius) has passed away. Duggan noted the following…

“With a very, very heavy heart, I’ve been asked to let everyone know about the passing of our friend and colleague Lanny Poffo, The Genius. RIP Lanny.”

Poffo joined WWE in 1985 around the same time as his brother Randy Savage. Poffo worked with WWE into the early 1990s and inducted Savage into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.

Poffo was 68 years old.
