Former WWE star issues “hot take rant” regarding the U.S. national anthem getting booed at Elimination Chamber

The National Anthem is more of a propaganda tool than a rallying cry to Patriotism.

If you get mad that people boo the National Anthem, that’s your right. If you get mad people dont stand for the National anthem, that is your right.

But it’s their right to do those things too.

When I was in the NFL was during the peak of the Kap drama and I cannot reiterate how the entire nation tried to paint that man as a villain and he was nothing but a pillar in his community.

They were mad at him for taking a knee but the photographer on the field taking the picture of him taking a knee was also, on a knee. They want you to take your hat off for the national anthem but the camera men filming the game leave their hats and headsets on.

When the national anthem starts and people aren’t in their seats, they’re not standing still in the nacho and beer line listening contently. No they’re ordering food and/or walking to their seats to get there before the game starts.

This is selective outrage at worst and hypocrisy at best.

STOP FORCING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT NON FEDERAL/MILITARY OR INTERNATIONAL EVENTS and you won’t be getting salty when normal humans express normal human emotions or take a stance against the country they are currently living in and are legally and constitutionally protected to take.

Canadians booed the national anthem because our president acts like a dickhead towards Canadians. And that’s their right to feel that way. And Americans have the right to be pissed off that it was booed. And ALL OF THIS GOOFY SHIT IS AVOIDED if you just stop forcing the National Anthem in events that have NOTHING to do with patriotism.

Why are we listening to the National anthem before a wrestling show? Or an NFL game? or an NBA game? Or a high school sporting event? Or a spelling bee? Or any of the other million times this song is forced into a situation? Why?

If you make every day Christmas, Christmas becomes less special. Leave the national anthems to the OLYMPICS. The WORLD CUP. To Political Events. To Military Events.

You want to make the National Anthem great again? Stop playing it so fucking much.
