Former WWE/ECW stars claim that Sabu would intentionally botch spots in matches
During his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Damn commented on how Sabu would intentionally botch spots during matches…
“Everyone’s gonna think he f*cked up. So he would do that for no reason. Like boom, set me up chair top rope. He would slip and like, fall to the floor and everyone would be like, ‘what just happened?’ And he wanted it that realism and wanted to work the people in the moment so much that, you know, sacrificed some of his credibility with certain marks.” (quote courtesy of Dominic DeAngelo)
Former WWE and ECW star The Blue Meanie backed up RVD’s claim via Twitter…
“I’ve seen him call intentional botches in the back. Like losing his balance on a triple jump moomsault. His theory was no one hits a home run every time at bat. No one completes all their passes. No sport is perfect.”
