Former WWE and Impact Wrestling creative team member reportedly joins AEW

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, former WWE creative team member Jimmy Jacobs has officially started with AEW in a Coach/Producer role. Jacobs was backstage at the June 14th 2023 edition of Dynamite in Washington, DC.

Jacobs had been working with Impact Wrestling in recent months but finished up with the promotion this past weekend. Jacobs’ departure from Impact was said to have been amicable and he received high marks internally.

Johnson noted the following regarding Jacobs joining AEW…

“Jacobs was part of a move to add additional staff to the company as they prep for this Saturday’s AEW Collision premiere in Chicago. He will also be working on the creative process.”

Johnson added that Bryan Danielson and Dax Harwood have also been involved with creative pitches to Tony Khan in recent times.
