Former AEW world champion MJF lands role in upcoming Adam Sandler film

It was reported by Deadline.com that MJF, who is currently taking time off from AEW, has joined the cast of Netflix‘s sequel to Happy Gilmore starring Adam Sandler. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, MJF will be playing the role of Gordie, one of Gilmore’s sons.

While there is no word on how long MJF will be filming his part, Johnson also noted the following…

“We are told that the Gilmore sons are all ‘tough crazy bastards with New England accents who have inherited their father’s love of hockey. They all live out on their own and work blue collar jobs.’ We are told that the script for the film calls for the sons to be seen at different ages across the film and that the film is shooting in New Jersey through November.”
