Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reveals that he had a testicular cancer health scare in 2026
While speaking to esquire.com, former WWE champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson opened up about a health scare from earlier in 2026. Rock noted that he discovered a painful lump on one of his testicles while showering, leading to fears that it could be something serious.
Rock stated the following…
“I didn’t even tell Lauren [his wife]. I didn’t want to worry her before I knew if it was anything to even worry about. By the way: I’m fine. But I didn’t know that then, and the thing was really painful.”
Despite his concerns, Rock went ahead with a full day of promotional appearances for Jumanji, spending the day making jokes, giving speeches, and posing for photos while privately worrying about his health.
After contacting his doctor, Rock was examined and was told the lump was likely epididymitis, an inflammation of a tube behind the testicle, though cancer could not yet be ruled out. His doctor scheduled an ultrasound for the following morning, leaving him to spend another 24 hours in uncertainty. He told the outlet, “So I had to live with that for those twenty-four hours, not knowing—and I had to be on all day, joking around, making speeches.”
