Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson goes viral for wearing a watch valued at over $3 million dollars
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is on the TKO (parent company of WWE) Board of Directors, wore a Jacob & Co. Billionaire III watch valued at $3.3 million at the 2026 Met Gala. The Met Gala is an annual, invitation-only fundraising gala held on the first Monday in May to benefit The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
The watch measures 54mm, significantly larger than the typical men’s watch size of 36 to 40mm, and features 714 white diamonds totaling 129.61 carats, including 504 diamonds set into the bracelet. The movement itself measures 40.05mm wide.
The Rock went viral with several media outlets covering the story, including GQ Magazine, but he also received criticism from social media users due to TKO reportedly asking WWE stars to take pay cuts. Twitter/X user @AIRGold_ wrote, “The Rock is wearing a $3.3 million watch! That watch is worth more than what 98% of wrestlers make.” Meanwhile, @wrestlelamia added, “The Rock had the entire tag division’s salary on his wrist at the Met Gala.”
