Drew McIntyre addresses the singing with Tyson Fury from WWE Clash at the Castle

As seen during the 2022 WWE Clash at the Castle PPV, Roman Reigns retained his unified Universal title against Drew McIntyre. After Reigns left, boxer Tyson Fury got on the mic and praised McIntyre. Fury started signing the song American Pie and McIntyre sang with him. McIntyre spoke and praised the fans. McIntyre then started to continue singing and the show went off the air.

During an appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast, McIntyre addressed the singing…

“The singing that happened in Cardiff, if you had told me, ‘You’re going to sing a song after you lose a big match,’ I still haven’t checked how much was on TV, but not all of it was supposed to be on TV, but we went for it. If you embrace it, chances are the crowd is going to embrace it too and you’re going to have a fun time together. After that fun time, you deal with the serious storyline stuff on the following TVs.” (quote courtesy of Fightful.com)
