DIY regain WWE tag team titles and Johnny Gargano turns heel on Smackdown

As seen during the December 6th 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown, the Motor City Machine Guns defended the tag team titles against DIY after The Street Profits were attacked by mystery assailants backstage.

As the match progressed, Tommaso Ciampa tried getting Johnny Gargano to be more aggressive. Just when it looked like Ciampa and Gargano were going to have a falling out, Gargano turned heel by using a low blow on Sabin while Ciampa distracted the referee. DIY then won the tag team titles after finishing off Sabin with their finisher.
