Disco Inferno on Eddie Kingston: “He refuses to do the work to not look like a slob”

As seen during the August 8th 2026 edition of AEW Collision, Eddie Kingston defeated Jake Doyle in a Continental Cup First Round Match. This was Eddie’s first in-ring performance on AEW television since February.

In a post-match interview, Eddie thanked the fans for helping him return to TV. However, some users on Twitter/X were critical of Eddie’s comeback, with one fan referring to him as a “slob.”

Former WCW star Disco Inferno commented on the matter…

“His career as a New York tough guy hasn’t been the same since he cried on TV about Sammy [Guevera] body shaming him. For some reason I was the bad guy for calling him out on that. Fast forward and he refuses to do the work to not look like a slob.”
