Darby Allin wins the AEW world title from MJF on Dynamite

As seen during the main event of AEW Dynamite on April 15th, 2026, MJF defended the world title against Darby Allin. MJF tried to get out of having a title defense at the start of Dynamite. Just prior to the match, Sting gave a pep talk to Darby.

MJF hit a low blow behind the referee’s back, but then Darby responded with his own low blow. He followed up with a Death Drop, then a Coffin Drop, another one, a third, and a fourth before finishing with a headlock takeover to win.
