Dana Warrior reportedly one of over 100 people let go from WWE following Endeavor’s acquisition
Numerous executives and employees were let go from WWE today following the Endeavor acquisition that was finalized this past Tuesday. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, there were no talent releases today.
The belief is that there were over 100 layoffs over the course of the day. Dana Warrior, widow of the late Ultimate Warrior, was said to have been among the names let go. Dana had been working in WWE’s community outreach department and her departure was called a “surprise” by Johnson.
WWE President Nick Khan sent out the following e-mail in regards to the layoffs…
“Thank you for your patience and understanding today. All individuals impacted by today’s workforce reductions have now been notified. We thank all of these colleagues for their contributions throughout the years and wish them the best. So many of us have a lifelong passion for WWE and that is part of what makes working here so special.”
An in-person meeting with all employees is scheduled for Tuesday.
