Damian Priest reveals perk he received when he negotiated a new contract with WWE

During an interview with Cody Rhodes on the What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast, Damian Priest commented negotiating a new contract with WWE in 2024. Priest revealed that he received the perk of being able to sit in first class on plane flights…

“I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in pain anymore. I don’t wanna wrestle and then be (hunches over). Because I’m sorry, I am a big guy and I don’t fit. And they were like, ‘Yeah that’s not a problem, you should have had that already.’ I was like, ‘Well I don’t know the rules, I don’t know how to politic, I don’t know how to ask for stuff.’ That’s just not me. But that was the first time they were like, ‘Yeah, you can sit at the front of the plane from now on.'”

Priest also commented on being inspired by Rhea Ripley…

“She inspired to me to be like, you know what, no matter what I think I can or cannot do, I’m gonna try to do it anyway, because everything else seems so simple compared to what she had to do.” (quotes courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)
