“Hangman” Adam Page said to be fine after injury scare during the 2/21/24 edition of AEW Dynamite

AEW World champion Samoa Joe is scheduled to defend his title against “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland at the 2024 Revolution PPV event. During the February 21st 2024 edition of Dynamite, there was a trios match involving all three men. At one point, Page avoided Joe’s muscle buster but then started holding his ankle on the outside of the ring.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com discussed a potential injury to Page during Wrestling Observer Radio….

Alvarez: “He has to have it looked at. Could be a broken ankle.”

Meltzer: “Yeah that’s what I heard.”

Alvarez: “It does appear to be a serious ankle injury. Sometimes we have people getting injured and we don’t know anything about it, they don’t say anything, but this guy is fighting for the World Title in a little over a week, so if he’s got a broken ankle, I think we’re gonna hear about it real quick, because they’re gonna have to come up with something.” (quotes courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)

Fightful Select later provided an update on Page…

“He was helped to the backstage area and limped there, but we’re told that this was an angle, and he was fine once he got backstage. We’re told this could be worked into the show now, but upon returning to the backstage area, Page was completely fine. One talent used a phrase that has often been used in situations like this ‘yeah, he’s okay. He’s just good at his job.'”
