CM Punk seemingly makes reference to The Young Bucks during AEW Collision’s debut

The debut of AEW Collision on June 17th 2023 opened with a CM Punk promo. Punk said the wrestling business is for grown-ups and if it was a popularity contest, he would’ve lost a long time ago. Punk said he has never been compromised and couldn’t have done it without the fans.

Punk seemingly made a reference to The Young Bucks with the following line…

“You know what David Zaslav (Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery) calls me? One bill Phil. That’s because I am the one true, genuine article in a business full of counterfeit bucks.”

In regards to issuing an apology to certain fans that don’t like him, Punk said the following…

“I’m sorry… that the only people softer than you are the wrestlers you like.”

After the segment, the @YoungBucks Twitter bio was updated…

“If it were 2018, we’d already have a ‘Counterfeit Bucks’ shirt available on PWT. 😂 Kill it y’all!”
