Clarification on Sammy Guevara’s status with AEW following his social media profile change
On July 19th 2026, Sammy Guevara posted “new bio” on Twitter/X, which led fans to notice that there was no mention of AEW in his profile. In an update, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com commented on Guevara’s status with the company…
“Sammy Guevara is still with AEW. He has not been released, and his contract has not expired. I’m not sure exactly what he’s doing on social media, but he is still with the company.
Now, there was an incident, and I had multiple people tell me about this over the last couple of days. There was something that happened about a year ago, and Tay Melo did ask for her release. She was not granted her release, but she did ask for it.
I don’t know when her deal is up. Maybe her deal is up soon, and so he also wants out. I don’t know if he actually wants out. He may just be trying to mess with people on Twitter, or he may actually want out.
But what I can tell you 100% is that he is still with AEW. His deal is not up, and he has not been released.”
