Chelsea Green dedicates her interim WWE women’s title victory to Michael Hayes

As seen during the 2026 WWE SummerSlam Sunday PLE, Chelsea Green became the Interim WWE Women’s Champion by winning a five-way ladder match. While speaking at the SummerSlam post-show, Chelsea addressed her victory…

“When I knew I was going to be in this match, I thought to myself, ‘Okay, we have got an ex-WNBA player, ex-gymnast, we have Jade [Cargill], who was born with abs, and we have got Charlotte [Flair], who was literally born into this business. And what am I?

Do you know what I am? I am just one of them [a fan]. I am literally just one of them that decided to do exactly what the f*ck I wanted to do, and now here I am. Do you know what? I am gonna dedicate this title to [WWE Producer] Michael Hayes.”

During the second season of WWE: Unreal, Hayes said the following about Chelsea: “Chelsea is so entertaining. But she is not built for, nor should she be in the Charlotte Flair role or Tiffany Stratton. Because Chelsea’s job is to help make those people.”
