Charlotte Flair out of action in WWE for nine months due to a knee injury

As previously noted, Charlotte Flair was injured during the December 8th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown in a match against Asuka. It’s believed that Charlotte was hurt during a commercial break when she slipped from the top rope.

During the December 15th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, it was announced that Charlotte will be out of action for nine months due to a knee injury and she simply posted a heartbreak emoji on Twitter/X. WWE confirmed that Charlotte will need surgery but other official details were provided about the situation.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following…

“There was talk at Raw Monday among talents that Flair may have suffered a torn ACL but it wasn’t confirmed at the time. The nine month recovery would be in line with an ACL tear, which usually requires at least six months’ recovery. If she out nine months, that puts her in the area of a return in September 2024, meaning she would miss both Wrestlemania and Summerslam.”
