Chad Gable apologizes to fans for the “Shorty G” character in WWE

During an interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Chad Gable commented on the success of the El Grande Americano character in WWE and AAA…

“I mean, that’s one of the best things about wrestling, right? You just never know. You never know what it is that’s going to land, what it is that the audience is going to latch onto, or why, really.

When you really think about the path that we had to go on to get to that point, it would have never happened if it weren’t for so many different variables. Someday, I think everyone will become privy to just how many there actually were. There are a lot more than people even know about.

Something as obvious as my injury and me having to go away—if I hadn’t gotten injured, none of this would have ever taken the route that it did.

It’s just magic, man. That’s what wrestling is.”

Gable also stated the following while discussing his redemption storyline…

“Let me just say, I’ll apologize to you guys personally and to the entire audience for Shorty G. How about that? Can you accept? Will you at least accept? I know Maxxine [Dupri] and them didn’t, but you guys have to accept that one.”
