Braun Strowman issues statement regarding his future after being released from WWE
In May of 2025, it was announced that multiple wrestlers were parting ways with WWE including Braun Strowman. While Strowman’s salary was said to have been a factor in his release, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com also noted that Strowman “had not been moving well in the ring since coming back from a major hamstring injury and one person there noted to us that he was hurt worse than people realized.”
In a post via Twitter/X, Strowman addressed his future…
“It’s been an amazing ride. Not saying that I’m not gonna get back in the ring and whip somebody’s ass, because we all know I can. But, it’s an opportunity for me to try some stuff and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to rekindling relationships with family and friends that I’ve missed out on and things that you don’t get to do while you’re on the road.
I’m looking for real organic things and passions and experiences. And while I’ve been so blessed to be able to travel the world and get to sample the finer things in life, now is an opportunity to do even more.” (quote courtesy of SI.com)
