Bill Goldberg agrees with a fan’s comment about Triple H being a “jackass”
As seen during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th 2025, world heavyweight champion Gunther defeated Bill Goldberg in what was Goldberg’s final match. Afterwards, Goldberg gave a retirement speech but only about 30 seconds of it aired on television.
While appearing at a Meet and Greet event, Bill Goldberg had an exchange with a fan. The fan said, “Hey, you know what really pissed me off? When WWE cut off your mic at your final performance.” Goldberg responded, “What do you think it did for me? It didn’t make me really happy. It just shows what disrespect they have.” The fan then asked, “What jackass was it? Hunter [Triple H]? Who did that?” Goldberg replied, “Probably.” The fan added, “Yeah, he’s a jackass, man,” and Goldberg agreed, “100%.”
