Backstage news regarding the WWE Universal Title match at Wrestlemania 37

Fightful.com is reporting that the WWE Universal Title match at Night 2 of Wrestlemania 37 was well-received by people in the company and Roman Reigns was said to have gotten “rave reviews” for his character performance.

It’s believed that talks of having Daniel Bryan added to the match started well over a month ago but weren’t finalized until the week of the Fastlane PPV.

While there was a report about Wrestlemania finishes being changed at the last minute, Fightful noted that Reigns winning the match was the plan since the storyline build for Wrestlemania began.

Paul Heyman was said to have been “instrumental” in putting together the story for the match with Edge and Bryan also contributing ideas. Bryan reportedly came up with the double submission headbutt spot.
