Backstage news regarding the Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada match at AEW All In: Texas
As seen during the June 11th 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite, International champion Kenny Omega vs. Continental champion Kazuchika Okada was officially confirmed for the All In: Texas PPV event. Their contract signing segment from the show ended with Okada aligning with Omega’s rival Don Callis. Okada ended up causing Omega to cough up blood from a police baton attack to the abdomen.
Fightful.com noted that the match has been on the table as a tentative plan for almost a year. The match’s announcement has been credited internally as the reason why AEW moved over 1,400 tickets in the last week for All In.
Omega and Okada’s titles will be merged to create the “Unified” championship. According to Fightful, indications about the new title suggest it’s meant to be booked and perceived as another top title in AEW as opposed to a “mid or upper mid-card title.”
