Backstage news regarding the finish of The Fiend vs. Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 37

As seen at Night 2 of WWE Wrestlemania 37, Randy Orton defeated The Fiend after Alexa Bliss popped out of a giant Jack in the Box next to the ring and caused The Fiend to be distracted.

According to a report on Fightful.com, it was originally planned for The Fiend to defeat Randy Orton at Wrestlemania and for Orton to be written off television for a period of time. A decision to change the finish and make Orton the winner was reportedly made during the weekend. The belief is that Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon were instrumental in the process of changing plans. While some WWE officials were seemingly happy about how the finish played out, wrestlers were said to be confused about it.

After the PPV, Bray Wyatt tweeted a painting about the biblical story of Samson and Delilah. Here is Britannica.com’s description of the story…

Delilah, also spelled Dalila, in the Old Testament, the central figure of Samson’s last love story (Judges 16). She was a Philistine who, bribed to entrap Samson, coaxed him into revealing that the secret of his strength was his long hair, whereupon she took advantage of his confidence to betray him to his enemies. Her name has since become synonymous with a voluptuous, treacherous woman.
