Backstage news regarding “Hangman” Adam Page beating Will Ospreay at AEW Double or Nothing 2025
As seen during the 2025 AEW Double or Nothing PPV event, “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Will Ospreay in the main event. With his win, Page will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW world title at All In: Texas.
According to Fightful.com, Page and Ospreay found out the result of the main event earlier in the weekend. Page reportedly pushed for Ospreay to win while Ospreay wanted Page to be victorious. AEW President Tony Khan was said to have been non-committal throughout the process when asked by talent although Moxley apparently argued for Page to win. Page’s win was met with shock backstage as most expected Ospreay to win.
PWInsider.com confirmed that “there was a lot of back and forth over whether Hangman Page or Will Ospreay should emerge victorious.” Furthermore, the decision on the winner “could have gone either way until late in the day when the decision was made to have Page” secure the victory.
