Backstage news regarding Drew McIntyre following his WWE Elimination Chamber victory

As seen during the 2024 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, Drew McIntyre was victorious in the men’s Chamber match and will challenge Seth Rollins for the world heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 40.

It was previously reported that McIntyre’s WWE contract is expected to expire after the Wrestlemania 40 PLE. PWInsider.com was told by WWE sources that nothing has changed regarding McIntyre’s contractual status with the company. Both sides are reportedly working together on the assumption that a new deal will be reached but it’s being said that nothing has been signed as of Tuesday, February 27th.

It was also noted by PWInsider that McIntyre’s remark on WWE RAW about suffering a ruptured eardrum in the Chamber match was 100% legitimate.
