Backstage news regarding CM Punk’s comments about Adam Page after the 8/12/23 edition of Collision
As previously noted, CM Punk cut a promo for the live crowd after the August 12th 2023 edition of AEW Collision ended and he took a shot at “Hangman” Adam Page. Punk and The Young Bucks reportedly have an agreement to not say anything negative publicly about each other but that does not include Page.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the promo was not part of a storyline between Punk and Page. Meltzer stated the following…
“Page was actually sent to Greensboro last night to do a pre-tape interview backstage for Wednesday’s Dynamite show and when he got there was told that they would have to do it away from the Coliseum and not to go to the show. He wasn’t booked to appear on Collision itself.”
There is internet speculation that a “Hangman was right” fan sign set off Punk.

After Collision, Punk uploaded an Instagram story with the song It’s so Easy by Guns n’ Roses. There was also a picture of actor Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi in his “pull the string” scene from the film Ed Wood.
