Another “major” name possibly appearing along with CM Punk for debut of new AEW show

It was reported that AEW’s new Saturday night show is believed to be called Collision and will air on TNT starting June 17th 2023. Dave Meltzer wrote that CM Punk is scheduled to be on the debut show “along with what is expected to be either another major name debut or return.” Meltzer noted that an official announcement about the new AEW show and Punk’s return will possibly take place around the time of the television upfronts in mid-May. It’s believed that June 17th was chosen for the show’s start date because there will be no Saturday NBA or NHL playoff games after that point.

At this time, it’s being said that CM Punk and FTR will headline the Saturday show while The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will headline Dynamite. Chris Jericho is rumored to be part of the Saturday show to feud with CM Punk as their meeting to mend fences reportedly went well.

Meltzer confirmed that Rampage will continue to air on Friday nights as a one hour show.
