With the news coming out that WWE released several superstars on Thursday, fans speculated that Aleister Black’s name would be on the list. However, it appears that WWE still has plans to use Black.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has begun recording vignettes for Black’s return to television. Johnson noted that “based on what we have heard about the vignettes, they are loosely based on Black’s childhood.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com also commented on Black’s status:
I was told to not expect Aleister Black to be released, but I'm not sure what that really means anymore since multiple people among todays cuts were assured that prior as well. https://t.co/KffU79QBJu

Black, who hasn’t wrestled on WWE television since he was drafted to Smackdown in October, recently posted a cryptic photo and message on his Instagram page…
“Let us sit face to face soon. I will have many stories to tell, all of them in full color.”
