No other information was provided by the company although Virk did make a brief statement…
Thanks to @WWE for a wonderful opportunity. The weekly travel along with my other jobs was a grind for me and my family. Am grateful to everyone with the company especially @WWEGraves and @ByronSaxton for being such fantastic teammates. https://t.co/lrP0fCAMXz

Virk debuted as lead announcer for WWE RAW on the night after Wrestlemania 37. Virk made a total of seven appearances on RAW.
Virk’s commentary had been criticized by fans since his debut with the company and his name even trended on Twiter during the April 26th 2021 edition of WWE RAW due to complaints.
During a recent interview with WrestlingInc.com, Renee Paquette defended Virk on commentary…
“Give the guy a break. He’s figuring it out. It just sucks. There’s no way around it. Also, everyone just lives in that mind frame of ‘oh, we just JR. We just want Jerry The King Lawler.’ People want what they’re familiar with. As much as we crave change and we’re looking for change, we also are freaked out by change.”
