WWE Smackdown results for June 27th 2025 from Saudi Arabia

The June 27th 2025 edition of WWE Smackdown took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and aired live for international Netflix users. Here are the results from the show…

* Michael Cole and Wade Barrett did commentary.

* Cody Rhodes came to the ring but before he could say a word, Randy Orton came to the ring. The crowd loudly sang the lyrics to both men’s entrance songs. Orton put over Cody’s match with Jey Uso. After the two went back and forth verbally, Cody said “you won’t be King of the Ring because I will” to Orton and then dropped the microphone.

During the Cody and Orton segment, the Netflix feed cut out for over 25 minutes with a “Pardon the delay” message to users. Orton “yeeted” for the live crowd while the feed was down to kill time. The feed finally returned with Cole and Barrett apologizing to Netflix viewers.

* Jimmy Uso faced JC Mateo in the first match once the feed was restored. Prior to the match, Solo Sikoa gave a pep talk to JC and said they were going to give Jimmy one more opportunity to rejoin the family. Early in the match, Solo blocked Jimmy from executing a dive to JC. JC took advantage as Solo taunted Jimmy from outside of the ring. When Jimmy made his comeback, Solo grabbed Jimmy’s leg which allowed JC to pick up the victory with the “Tour of the islands” powerslam.

After the match, Solo wanted a hug from Jimmy but Jimmy responded with a slap to Solo. Jimmy was attacked by both Solo and JC but then Jacob Fatu ran down to make the save. Solo retreated and Jacob gave JC a top rope moonsault. Solo tried to attack Jacob from behind but Jimmy gave Solo a superkick.

* DIY tried to “motivate” the other SmackDown tag teams to fight against the Wyatt Sicks. General manager Nick Aldis told Andrade to find a tag team partner against DIY.

* The next match was Zelina Vega vs. Giulia for the WWE Women’s United States Championship. Zelina wore a King Cobra outfit to the ring. Early in the match, Zelina was selling her knee. Giulia gave Zelina a neckbreaker on the floor followed by a top-rope missile dropkick to take firm control.

* Zelina made a comeback, hitting a Meteora into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Zelina delivered another Meteora but Giulia kicked out. Zelina delivered a Code Red but Giulia got her feet on the ropes. Zelina missed a moonsault and Giulia responded with multiple knee strikes. Giulia then pinned Zelina with a Northern Lights Bomb to win the title. Pyro went off as Giulia celebrated her victory.

* Backstage, Charlotte Flair told Alexa Bliss that she didn’t need friends. Alexa said it wouldn’t hurt for them to be “allies of convenience” and to think about it.

* Wade Barrett hosted an in-ring meeting between Jade Cargill and Asuka. Jade said she plans on winning not just the crown but “the whole damn throne.” Asuka said Jade is strong but power isn’t everything.

Naomi interrupted the segment and said she has the power with her Money in the Bank contract. Naomi said it would be a great pleasure to ruin Jade’s biggest night. The crowd chanted “shut the f*ck up” at Naomi. A brawl erupted between Jade and Asuka with Asuka gaining the upper hand.

* Aleister Black approached Aldis backstage but R-Truth interrupted. R-Truth demanded another match against John Cena and then walked off.

* DIY vs. Andrade and Rey Fenix took place. Andrade and Fenix started strong with stereo crossbodies to the outside. DIY later took control and Gargano, selling a knee injury, prevented Fenix from tagging Andrade. Andrade eventually made the hot tag, but DIY regained control with a double-team attack.

The match broke down with all four men in the ring. DIY delivered a Fairytale Ending/superkick combo but Fenix kicked out. Ciampa exposed his knee and went for a strike but missed. Fenix hit Ciampa with a Black Fire Driver and Andrade then pinned Ciampa with The Message.

* A John Cena vs. CM Punk video package aired. R-Truth came to the ring and called out Cena again. However, Aleister Black appeared in the ring and laid out Truth with Black Mass.

Backstage, Priest confronted Black. Black said Truth’s debt was paid but Priest responded by saying Black should confront Truth face-to-face next time. Carmelo Hayes then appeared and warned Priest to stay out Black’s way.

* The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) defended the WWE Tag Team titles against the Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis). Prior to the match, B-Fab said she had their backs.

Early in the match, the other tag teams came down to ringside. Los Garza pulled Lumis out of the ring and then DIY pulled Dawkins out of the ring. All the teams started brawling and the match was thrown out.

Erick Rowan came into the ring but MCMG and Fraxiom worked together to send him back outside. Uncle Howdy entered the ring and laid out Axiom with a Sister Abigail. The Street Profits sent Howdy out of the ring and then Ford came over the top with a dive onto everyone.

* Outside of the building, Jacob told Jimmy that he didn’t need any help. Jimmy said he was just showing respect to Jacob for stepping up to Solo.

* Tiffany Stratton defended her SmackDown women’s title against Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing match. Nia gained an early advantage with a Samoan drop onto the announce table. She continued her dominance by sending Tiffany into an exposed turnbuckle. Nia put Tiffany through a table with a splash but Tiffany beat the ten count.

The two fought near the stage and Tiffany gained momentum with a kendo stick. She shoved an equipment case into Nia. Nia regained the upper hand and delivered the Annihilator. She hit another one with a steel chair but Tiffany still beat the count. Nia attempted an avalanche Samoan drop through a table but Tiffany countered and powerbombed Nia through the table. Nia got to her feet but then Naomi appeared with her MITB briefcase. However, Tiffany seized the briefcase and struck both Naomi and Nia with it. Tiffany delivered the Prettiest Moonsault Ever onto both of them. Nia managed to beat the count again, but Tiffany hit Nia with the briefcase once more, causing Nia to fall off the apron through two tables. Nia failed to beat the count and Tiffany officially retained her title.

* The final segment was with John Cena and CM Punk in the ring. Cena came out first and called himself a genius. Cena said Punk had been outmaneuvered. Cena’s old “word life” music then played and Punk came out dressed like Cena’s rapper character.

* Punk cut a freestyle promo on Cena and here were some of his lines…

“He said, I’m a problem. He called me a player hater. Let’s be honest, John Cena is burying more talent than The Undertaker.

That’s why he’s the champ, and he went and lost all his respect. But hey, John, I get it. I’d retire, too, if this place rehired my ex.

If you never said your prayers, ate your vitamins, or fixed your bald spot, you wouldn’t be a pro-wrestler. You’d be a Boston Mall cop.
