What The Rock is expected to announce on the February 21st 2025 edition of WWE Smackdown

It was confirmed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be appearing on the February 21st 2025 edition of WWE Smackdown in New Orleans, LA. According to Twitter/X account @WrestleVotes, “All signs out of ‘The Big Easy’ this morning point to The Rock officially announcing that WrestleMania 42 is coming to New Orleans next year.”

At this time, there have been no indications about Rock having at a match at Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas, NV as WWE reportedly made other plans for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following in regards to Rock’s in-ring status…

“I don’t know what commitments he has, but as far as timing goes, he has said he needs nine weeks of hard training to get in Mania wrestling shape and we are nine weeks away.”
