Kurt Angle started his WWE career shortly before Owen Hart’s tragic death on May 23th 1999. There are a couple of photos of Angle and Owen that exist with one of them being from a WWE dark match that they had on May 10th 1999.
During an episode of his podcast, Angle commented on the match…
“The match was incredible. Owen carried me through the whole thing,” Angle admitted. “He came up with some great ideas, and the crazy thing was, he would audible during the match. He would switch moves around and let me know ahead of time what we were doing, but he would adjust.”
