New details emerge regarding the WWE futures of Bruce Prichard and Shawn Michaels

Last week, it was reported by PWInsider.com that Bruce Prichard is expected to retire from his role as WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent (CWT) after WrestleMania 43. In an update, Fightful.com noted that Prichard has been planning a transition in his WWE role but expects to continue working remotely rather than retire. Prichard has reportedly been considering a roughly six-month transition as he prepares for neck surgery, with an existing injury making travel difficult.

There had been speculation that Shawn Michaels would take over Prichard’s role, but WWE sources told Fightful that this is not the case. Fightful was also told that rumored changes involving WWE, NXT, Evolve, and ID are either inaccurate or far from finalized. Any potential succession plan would require significant restructuring.

Additionally, AJ Styles is expected to have more influence in WWE scouting, while Bobby Roode has been considered for a role similar to those held by Prichard or Michael Hayes. However, Roode’s potential role remains far from finalized.
