The Undertaker says he made almost $15 million during his best year in wrestling

Social media outlet The School Of Hard Knocks spoke with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker. Here was the exchange…

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Excuse me, sir. Sir, how old were you when you became a millionaire?”

The Undertaker: “I was 27.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “And how did you get rich that young?”

The Undertaker: “You heard of the WWE?”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Wrestling?”

The Undertaker: “Yeah, wrestling.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Yes.”

The Undertaker: “I’m The Undertaker.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “You’re The Undertaker? Are you serious?”

The Undertaker: “I am dead serious.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “How long were you a wrestler for?”

The Undertaker: “Over 30 years.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “What was the most amount of money you made in a single year?”

The Undertaker: “Just shy of $15 million.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “$15 million? Can I interview you for one minute?”

The Undertaker: “Yeah, let’s do it.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Did you have people that thought you were crazy when you said, ‘I’m going to become a wrestler?'”

The Undertaker: “Oh yeah, including my parents.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “What’d they tell you?”

The Undertaker: “Oh my God. I left school. I left a full-ride scholarship playing basketball. And I remember my father telling me, he goes, ‘Son, all you have to do is put a ball through a hoop in your school and your education will be paid for. And you want to give all that up for a career in what?’ I want to be a professional wrestler, Dad.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “You’re undoubtedly the greatest wrestler of all time.”

The Undertaker: “You’re a little biased.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Well, okay. How important has the Undertaker name brand been for your success in your career?”

The Undertaker: “My business is all about putting asses in seats. In a business where it becomes very cookie-cutter, you have to resonate with people’s imagination and find something that’s different that people go, ‘Wow, he ain’t like everybody else.'”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “But you ended up making tens of millions of dollars. What’s the greatest piece of financial advice you’d give to my generation watching this?”

The Undertaker: “Ah, it’s funny because it came from my dad as well. He said, ‘Son, always live beneath your means. You never know what tomorrow has in store for you. And if it all goes away, what are you going to do?’ So I can do and drive anything that I want to drive. I drive a 2018 Ford F-250. I don’t put on and do things for other people, and I’m happy.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Do you believe in God?”

The Undertaker: “I do believe in God. He is the reason for everything.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “Who is your God?”

The Undertaker: “Jesus Christ.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “You’re not afraid to say it?”

The Undertaker: “Not at all. Jesus came down. I believe wholeheartedly that he got on that cross for a reason, and that was to bring us home to the Father.”

The School Of Hard Knocks: “If me and you died tomorrow and you could leave one last message with the younger generation, what would that be?”

The Undertaker: “Man, embrace the suck. If you want to be something, there’s going to be success and there’s going to be failure. Don’t let the success go to your head, and don’t let the failure go to your heart. You keep that in mind, you’re going to be just fine.”
