News regarding Jacob Fatu’s absence from WWE after being hit with a car

The September 28th 2026 edition of WWE RAW ended with a backstage brawl between 946 and The Bloodline. In the final moments, Jaida Parker joined 946 after hitting Jacob Fatu with a car.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Fatu’s on-screen absence following the angle in which he was run over coincides with the WWE project he is working on with Joe Hendry and Drew McIntyre. During the summer, WWE announced a partnership with microdrama platform ReelShort. Fatu, McIntyre, and Hendry were all announced to have starring roles in new live-action video series for the platform.

However, Meltzer noted that “the reason he [Fatu]’s out is storyline related, in the sense it wasn’t a cover for being out, but the storyline was to run him over as a part of the storyline regardless.” At this time, it’s unknown when Fatu will make his return to television although the presumption is that The Bloodline will face 946 in a War Games match at Survivor Series.
