Report: The reason why Seth Rollins hasn’t returned following his loss to Roman Reigns

Seth Rollins has been kept off WWE television since losing to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2026, although he returned to in-ring action during WWE’s South American tour in September.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Rollins is dealing with what was described as a “minor injury” and has been given time to recover. Meltzer added that Rollins “could be back if needed now or soon,” but WWE plans to bring him back for “maximum impact” when the timing is right.

While speaking to ESPN Chicago in September, Rollins stated that he was “focusing on other things“ and would return when the time was right.
