What is being said about a potential Roman Reigns vs. Penta rematch

As seen during the September 14th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta. According to WrestleVotes Radio, several people within WWE reportedly believe Penta deserves to remain near the top of the card following his match with Roman Reigns on Monday night.

A source stated that Penta has established himself as a legitimate main event-level talent. While a rematch with Reigns is not currently planned, the reception to their match has reportedly led WWE to view the matchup as something it could revisit at any time, potentially even as a future PLE main event.

Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE officials see Penta as a “long-term money maker” for the company.
