Tyler Breeze says he is interested in AEW following the expiration of his WWE contract
While speaking to The Certified Mark Show, Tyler Breeze confirmed that he is no longer under contract to WWE. When asked if he would be interested in joining AEW, Breeze stated the following…
“100%. Technically, my contract ended at the start of August.
I was with WWE for 16 years. So, I had a really cool deal when the deal that just ended in August. I was able to do WWE stuff. I was able to do independents. I was able to kind of do third-party stuff. I was able to do all this stuff. A one-of-a-kind deal that was never seen before and will never be seen again.
I had great people in great positions who got that deal for me. And again, it’ll never be done again.
Back in 2021, when they let me go, in reality, I should have gone or tried to go to AEW. I should have reached out and I should have tried to go there.
Because that was, you know, when I was done with WWE, kind of thing. But because of UpUpDownDown, I went, you know what, I’m gonna stay for UpUp because I love UpUp. And UpUp’s one of those things where if I left to go wrestle, yes, the wrestling would be cool, but man, I’m really having fun with my friends doing this other stuff.
UpUp was a big thing for me where, if it wasn’t for UpUp, I would have already reached out to AEW and tried to go there.
as we’ve kind of been navigating this next part, I’ve said it several times, and people say it almost like it’s a big surprise, of like, ‘What?’ But yeah, I’m open to AEW. I’m open to TNA. I’m open to Maple Leaf. I’m open to whatever’s out there that isn’t WWE. I’m open to it.
I’m not done wrestling. I’ve been wanting to wrestle. I’ve been wrestling on the independents for the past five years. You know, there was a couple things that restricted me from wrestling on a TV company, but now I have no restrictions. I’m 100%—I’m open to all of it.”
